I keep a changelog for every template, and it’s not for me. It’s for the person who is deciding whether to trust me with forty dollars.
When I update Paper Trail, the changelog says what changed and when. Recent entries mean the thing is alive. If the last entry is two years old, you know what you’re getting, and that’s fair.
I write entries the way I’d want to read them:
– `2.1.0 | 2026-03-02 | Fixed table sorting on the project view`
– `2.0.0 | 2025-11-18 | Rebuilt around one database instead of three`
The version number tells you the size of the change. The date tells you whether I’m still here. The sentence tells you if it affects you.
There’s a page on this site that collects every changelog entry across every template, newest first. It’s the most honest page here. It’s also, per my analytics, the least visited, which is probably fine.
